If I could have everyone's attention for just a moment, I'd like to propose a toast to the happy couple. But before I do, I'd like to say a few words about these two wonderful people who have been joined in matrimony here today.

I've known John all my life. He's been my best friend and partner in crime since we were small. I remember when we were rambunctious little boys who climbed trees and played in the dirt. At that time, we thought girls were yucky -- I think we can both safely say we're glad that opinion has changed! Throughout the years, John has stood by me through thick and thin, and I am honored to call him my friend.

When he met Christine, I knew that she was a very special woman. Being with her filled him with so much joy and happiness that he had to make sure it was forever. These two were made for each other -- I couldn't have chosen a better bride for John if I'd tried!

Before we raise our glasses to John and Christine, I'd like to offer this bit of advice to my friend, the groom:

John -- always be sure to split the difference on the thermostat, and never forget the three most important words you can say to your wife: “You're right, dear.”

Now let's all raise our glasses in celebration of John and Christine and the union that has joined them as one.

Excuse me, everyone -- can I have your attention for a moment? I'd like to say a few words about my brother Mike and his new bride Anne.

Since we were little boys, Mike and I have been there for each other. Yeah, we fought a lot -- like all brothers do. When we got in trouble with Mom and Dad, it was almost always together. No matter how many scuffles we may have had back then, there was never any doubt that we loved each other and would always be there to support each other. That's why I'm here today -- to help my brother celebrate the happiest day of his life.

Today is an extremely happy and proud day for me as I watch my brother marry the woman of his dreams. I knew when I met Anne that she was someone special -- someone that would change my brother's life forever, in the best way!

Mike and Anne -- I wish you nothing but years of happiness and wedded bliss.

Let's raise our glasses in honor of Mike and Anne -- here's to a lifetime of love ahead!
