A Suit for Your Wedding Day

There are some basic rules to follow when renting your tux, and if you follow them, you will come across as elegantly as James Bond. The first decision is whether to buy or rent your tux. Tuxedos usually run anywhere from $300 to $500 for the average one and renting is only about $30 to $100. If you will be wearing a tuxedo to more than just your wedding but if your wedding day is the only time you will have it on then renting is the way to go.

Once you have decided to rent your tux, you have to choose the place to rent it. You want to find a shop that keeps their inventory up to date. If you look around and all you see is the color powder blue along with ruffles, hurry on to the next store. After you have chosen the perfect shop, it is then time to get measured. The owner should know how to measure you perfectly so that you get a great fitting tux.

You should have your groomsmen get their tux at the same shop. This way, you all have a look that is cohesive. Plus, if you all get your tux from the same place, you may get a discount. While there, you can talk to the owner about buying all of the accessories you need such as bow ties, cummerbunds, suspenders and shoes along with whatever else you need.

Prior to renting your tuxedo, you may want to visit a shop in person or do some research online. When you think of tuxedo you might have one picture in your mind but tuxedos come in a variety of styles and colors.  The most common one is the jacket, but you can also choose a single breasted one which is a one button front, or a double breasted one, which has two to six buttons jacket. Then there are three different types of lapels, these are peaked, notched or shawl. These are only two of the numerous decisions you are gong to have to make. You will have to make decisions on neckwear, the shirt, and the shoes that will match your tux.

You should rent your tuxedo at least three months in advance of the great event. This is to ensure that the shop has the tuxedo in the size that you need. Plus it will give the shop time to order any of the accessories you need should they not be in stock. If you wait to the last minute you may not find a tuxedo that gives you the look you want on your special day.
