Spring is probably the most popular season for weddings, and is also one of the most colorful seasons for flowers.
Prices for Wedding Bouquets and Centerpieces during Spring
If you do not want exotic flowers, there are lots of varieties of traditional flowers for your bouquets, decorations and centerpieces. Many of the traditional spring flowers are upright flowers like tulips and daffodils, so handheld and classical bouquet styles are most common. Since there is such a wide selection of flowers available at this time the range of price for bouquets is very large. Bouquets that feature roses and exotic lilies or other flowers can go up to two to three hundred dollars, while beautiful tulip or daffodil bouquets are often available for less that seventy-five dollars. Center pieces and other decorative arrangements are usually between fifty and one hundred and fifty dollars, again the price is dependent on the size and type of flowers.
March Wedding Flowers
Always popular the roses in soft pinks, creams and champagne colors are usually central in spring bouquets. Often brides choose the ultra romantic white on white color arrangement with pale green foliage and babys breath to add that soft touch. White roses and calla lilies compliment each other, and roses with Stargazer lilies are also popular and add a bit of color. It is important if you are completing a monochromatic look that the white flowers you choose are all of the same tone, as well as being the right color against your bridal gown. Some whites can be more cream, and some can even be slightly pink.
Eucalyptus leaves are often used in modern arrangements to add texture as well as slight fragrance. The leaves will keep extremely well and can be purchased in several different colors and even in variegated types.
April Wedding Flowers
Tulips and daffodils provide rich colors and multi-color arrangements. Deep buttery yellows and beautifully rich purples of spring wildflowers are incorporated into bouquets. Anemones, which are a member of the buttercup family are also included in April and May bouquets and centerpieces. These flowers come in both deep tones and pastels, and provide a great accent flower to the larger tulips. The brighter colors of the tulips and daffodils can hold up to darker colored greenery without looking washed out. Many brides like using some tropical looking foliage to add an exotic look at a fraction of the price of using imported flowers.
May Wedding Flowers
In late spring the lily of the valley comes into bloom. This is a very romantic and delicate flower that gives off a wonderful scent. While it can be extremely costly in other seasons it is reasonably priced during the late spring months, especially if it is grown in your area. May also brings out the lilac and hydrangea, which can be combined with other purples, pinks, creams or whites. The variety of colors in hydrangeas, combined with their soft appearance really adds to a Victoria style wedding.
The colors of spring are usually soft and pastel, and as spring passes into summer the brighter pinks, yellows and corals begin to be seen.
