Ideas for Great Autumn/Fall Wedding Flower Colors

Are you planning a fall wedding? If so, you’re probably up to your ears in all the details of your big day. One of those details is choosing the flowers you want, as well as your color scheme. Believe it or not, there are a wide variety of blossoms still available for fall weddings.

Fall Wedding Flower Colors

Great fall wedding flower arrangements and bouquets can include mums, daisies, sunflowers, roses, yarrow, sprays of silk autumn leaves and even sheaths of rustic wheat. When choosing your wedding colors and the colors of your flowers, go for shades that reflect the beauty of the season.

When choosing your colors, look no further than the trees! Red, orange, and yellow are all spectacular shades for your floral and decor colors. Burgundy, pumpkin, sunflower are variances of these colors that are conservative and attractive enough to look stunning for any fall wedding. Try accenting with dark brown to reflect tree bark, and deep green to mimic the color of grass. Gold makes a gorgeous and eye-catching accent shade as well.

Coordinate your wedding decorations with the colors of your flowers. Try a solid tablecloth, then add a beautiful centerpiece. Spray paint miniature pumpkins and decorative gourds with gold paint for a luxurious look, then arrange them in a pretty crystal bowl or rustic wicker basket. Another centerpiece idea is to hollow out pumpkins and use them to hold arrangements of autumn-inspired flowers. Candles also make great focal points for any table. Try scooping out a pumpkin or gourd to accommodate the candle of your choice. Or, try pretty bowls filled with water and add floating candles that look like fall leaves.

Even your wedding cake can be adorned with beautiful blooms in shades of the season. Try a cake in any flavor frosted and adorned with either faux or real edible flowers in the colors of your choice. A delicious pumpkin or spice flavored wedding cake is an ideal choice to add both great taste and beauty to the table.

Your floral and decor colors don’t have to be the color of autumn leaves, however. Popular fall wedding colors for flowers and decor alike include deep chocolate brown accented with a light color like periwinkle blue or dusty pink. Or, go for mossy green with gold as the accent shade. Almost any color you love can be combined with a coordinating shade and used to bring interest and beauty to your fall wedding.
