Not Enough Cash For Your Perfect Wedding? Try These Ideas To Make The Budget Work

Your wedding is your chance to be the center of attention on the most beautiful day of your life. It is naturally very important to get every detail right. Weddings are very expensive, so we often have to make some sacrifices. You might need to choose a more affordable venue or even a cheaper wedding cake.

One of the things few of us would change is the wedding dress. However, some designs are not available in the size we need. If you need a plus size wedding dress, you may have more choices if you go to a specialist boutique. That way you still might be able to have the dress of your dreams. Complete service boutiques are a good idea but often we find we have to shop around to find the perfect items.

As your wedding dress is such an important part of your perfect day, you may need to spend a bit more money than you had budgeted for. This needn’t spell disaster for your dream wedding. Instead, make a list of your priorities. Grade each item so you can easily identify the most important things to you. You may find one or two items on your list just aren’t available. Perhaps this alters their priority?

You might want to order your list based on what will be seen in the wedding photography. Your shoes are not likely to be in any of the photos. So you could ditch the designer pumps and choose something more budget end. There is nothing stopping you taking some wedding photos away from your chosen reception venue. This is a good idea if you’re after a gorgeous landscape. Maybe a friend is a good enough photographer to take your shots for free? Very few people bother to photograph the food offered at a wedding either.

These are just a few ideas of where you can bump things down your list of wedding priorities for the sake of that fabulous dress. Of course, there are other ways you can have it all. Perhaps you can take on a second job to raise the cash for a more expensive wedding. While borrowing money for this single event seems a little excessive, many people do take out loans for a wedding.

Don’t underestimate the skills and determination of your friends and family. They want to make everything as perfect as possible for you. You might opt for a homemade wedding cake. And your sister’s catering efforts for a yummy wedding buffet. These services might be offered as wedding gifts. You could even do away with the professional wedding planner and take it all on yourself.

While planning a wedding is tough, it allows you to be in complete control of where every dollar goes. Asking friends and family for help is a great way to save yourself time and money too. Don’t forget to get your husband-to-be involved. It’s his wedding too, so he might want to help you get it just right. Compromise doesn’t have to mean sacrifice. Sometimes it can even turn out better than you had hoped.
