Body Shaping Workouts for Brides
If you're a bride-to-be, then you definitely want to look your
absolute best on your big day. You've chosen a dress, experimented
with your makeup, practiced styling your hair, and perhaps even had
a facial to make your skin glow. Another important part of your
appearance is your body, and you want to make sure that it's at its
beautiful best on your wedding day.
One crucial part of any exercise plan is cardio. Be sure to get 30
minutes of cardiovascular exercise at least three times a week to
burn fat and keep you in great shape. Examples of cardio exercise
include brisk walking, jogging, cycling, aerobics, dance, stair
climbing, and some forms of martial arts. With all the choices
available to you, you're sure to find cardio you love doing!
Toning and Shaping Your Body
The second part of getting in shape for your big day is toning and
shaping your body. This can be achieved by exercises that focus on
specific areas.
Try these:
For Arms: Try doing 3 sets of 10 repetitions with a 2.5 or 5
pound weight to sculpt and tone. Pushups are also great for toning
arms and shoulders.
For Legs: Try ankle weights! If you wear them throughout your
day around the house, you'll be giving your legs a workout! Believe
it or not, walking in high heels can be sculpting for calves. Try
Pilates for the ultimate way to sculpt and tone, or hit the gym and
use their equipment.
For Abdomen: Again, Pilates is great for sculpting the
midsection. Also try traditional stomach crunches. Certain Yoga
poses are fantastic for the midsection.
For Buttocks: Lunges can be very effective in toning your
backside. Yoga and Pilates are also great ways to tone and sculpt
your butt and thighs.
Your local gym probably offers a wide range of aerobic classes as
well as strength and flexibility training. To lose weight and tone
your body while having fun, try a bellydance or hip hop dance class!
By making sure you're in great shape, you'll not only look
fantastic, you'll feel fantastic as well. And that inner wellness is
sure to shine through on your wedding day!
