A lingerie themed bridal shower can be a naughty and nice way to
celebrate the bride's upcoming nuptials and get her excited about
what comes afterwards! If the bride-to-be that you're planning a
shower for is energetic and adventurous, then a lingerie themed
shower could be right up her alley. Here are some tips to make your
lingerie themed bridal shower one to remember for both the
bride-to-be and her guests!
Color Scheme: There are many different color schemes you
could incorporate into a lingerie themed shower. Try racy black
accented with either pale pink, fuchsia or even red. Or, go girly
with creamy shades of ivory and pastels.
Invitations: You can really get creative with the invitations
-- try invites in the shape of a bustier accented with a satin bow.
If you use traditionally shaped invitations, implement accents such
as lace and satin on them to give them a lingerie feel.
Flowers and Decorations: Get the bride's favorite flowers and
fill the room with them. Accent the decor with balloon, ribbons and
bows in complementing colors.
Food: For a lingerie themed bridal shower, serve decadent
desserts such as lots of chocolate, strawberries, champagne, and
other appetizing choices.
Gifts: Lingerie, of course! The lingerie given by guests can
range from conservative pajamas to racy garters and nighties. The
point of a lingerie bridal shower is to make sure the bride-to-be
has a fully stocked lingerie collection!
Games: There are lots of fun games that can be played at a
lingerie bridal shower theme. One game involves placing a frilly
underthing in a paper bag and having guests pass it to each other
for one minute. When the timer goes off, the guest left holding the
bag has to wear the item inside! Another activity that can be fun
for this type of shower, especially for young, energetic brides, is
striptease or bellydance lessons. Get a video that teaches sexy
moves or have a dance teacher come in and teach the bride some hot
dance techniques!
