Snowflake Theme Winter Wedding
There are many ways to make a winter wedding beautiful and magical,
and one of them is with a snowflake theme. When creating the perfect
snowflake theme wedding, think about sparkling white snowflakes
floating to the ground against an inky blue night sky. Here are some
tips to help you create the perfect look for your special day:
Invitations
There are many options when choosing your invitations. You could go
for navy blue invitations with white text, adorned with tiny white
embossed snowflakes. Or, go for winter white invitations engraved
with snowflake shapes and dark blue text. You could even select
invitations that are snowflake-shaped for an artistic and creative
look!
Attire
When choosing your bridal attire for a winter wedding, be sure to
select something warm to wrap around your shoulders like a white
faux fur stole or cape. Reflect your wedding theme with gorgeous
silver jewelry and a sparkling snowflake pendant suspended on a
delicate chain. You can even wear a glittering tiara in your hair to
make you feel like a princess! Present your bridesmaids with a
snowflake pendant as well so they'll fit in with the theme. Great
colors for bridesmaids dresses include navy or midnight blue.
Decorations
If the Christmas season is near, decorate some real or artificial
miniature evergreen trees with crystal snowflake ornaments. Hang
plastic or crystal snowflakes from the ceiling using clear thread or
wire. Try either a dark blue or silver tablecloth, or try one that's
dark blue with a snowflake print. There's no better accompaniment to
a snowflake themed wedding than miniature snowmen figurines on each
table for a cute whimsical look. Drape the pews with either dark
blue velvet accented with white lace or go for pure white tulle to
simulate a snowy appearance. Rather than flower petals, have your
flower girl sprinkle snowflake shaped white confetti on a deep blue
carpet before you make your grand entrance!
Menu
For a great winter wedding menu, choose hearty favorites like baked
ham, roast beef, or succulent stew. There are a variety of sweet and
delicious ways to bring your snowflake theme to the table. Serve
snowflake shaped sugar cookies for a pretty sweet treat. For your
wedding cake, you can go for an all-white cake accented with sugar
snowflakes. Or, try dark blue frosting and add sugar snowflakes to
simulate a snowy night! See our ideas for Snowflake Wedding Cakes:

Great beverages to serve include apple cider
and hot cocoa with mini marshmallows.
Favors
Present your guests with pretty snowflake ornaments wrapped in navy
blue tulle. Another cute idea is a miniature snowglobe. Or, wrap up
some chocolates like silver Hershey's kisses. Disposable cameras
make fantastic favors, as do packets of soothing herbal tea, cocoa
or cider. Since no one throws rice at weddings anymore, give them
little bottles of bubbles to blow as you make your grand exit!
