A Las Vegas Wedding

Viva! Las Vegas Baby! So you’ve decided to try your luck at the
slots, listen to Wayne Newton, ‘croon a tune’, and then head to the
‘little white chapel’ for an Elvis themed wedding to tie the knot?
Believe it or not, you’re not alone. Las Vegas weddings are popular
for movie, TV, and sports figures, as well as the general public
with about 1 in 20 of all marriages taking place in Las Vegas. The
bright neon lights, the sounds of bells ringing, coins dropping, the
atmosphere created by the hotels/casinos that line the strip has
enticed many a couple to marry here.
Las Vegas weddings are so popular in fact that most casinos have at
least one chapel. The themes available are as numerous as your hotel
and casino choices. You can exchange vows in a small, romantic
chapel. Or maybe you are adventurous and would like to say ‘I do’
while standing on the rim of the Grand Canyon. Perhaps you instead
would like to wear ‘blue suede shoes’ and be serenaded by an Elvis
impersonator at your wedding. Whether you want a religious or civil
ceremony, Las Vegas can come through for you.
Many of the hotels, casinos, and chapels in the area offer packages
for Las Vegas weddings. Some of these packages start as low as $100.
Many of these packages include discounted hotel rates, champagne for
the couple, small cakes, a special dinner, and special touches like
a hot-air balloon, or helicopter rides, as well as the wedding
ceremony. There are even chapels that rent tuxes and gowns. You
might try your luck at the tables with the money you save by not
purchasing your wedding attire.
There are so many packages that include discounts on airfare, hotel
accommodations, and wedding ceremonies, that it’s not a matter of
what package deal is the best, but rather with whom you choose your
‘Las Vegas Weddings’ package from. Make sure that you are dealing
with a reputable company that is willing to stand behind its
promises. If they’re not forthcoming with all the details and
information you need, and aren’t willing to work with you if a
problem crops up: then it’s better to move on to a company that
will.
You might be caught up in all the excitement that naturally
surrounds Las Vegas weddings, but you will need to complete some
paperwork before exchanging vows. You must provide proof that you
are legally available to marry. This could be as easy as a signed
affidavit obtained at the town hall, affirming your single status.
You should inquire with the hotel or chapel you have registered to
have your wedding with for further details on the paperwork that is
required for a wedding in Las Vegas.
Put a quarter in a slot machine, roll a pair of sevens, take in a
revue show or two, and then head to the chapel for your wedding. You
can do it all in Las Vegas Baby!
