Creative Wedding Guest Book Ideas
Your wedding guest book is more than just a register
of who attended your wedding. It is also an item that can be a
family heirloom that you'll treasure for years to come. Here are
some ideas for creative wedding guest books that you can use as
inspiration for your special guest book:
– Have someone meet guests at the door and take a Polaroid picture
of them, then attach it to a blank page where each guest can write
their own special greeting beside the picture.
– To give a traditional guest book something special, try providing
an authentic feather quill pen and old fashioned ink for attendees
to use.
– Try creating a video guest book in addition to the traditional
written kind.
– Make sure everyone signs the guest book. There's no point in
having one if it contains no signatures. Designate an assistant to
help make sure all guests sign upon their arrival.
– Turn your guest book into a scrapbook. Provide your guests with
small white cards on which to write well wishes and their signature.
Then glue the cards into a scrapbook that contains wedding photos
and special keepsakes.
– Try an audio guest book. Ask each guest to record a special
greeting into a tape recorder upon their arrival for a fun and
whimsical twist on the traditional guest book.
– Do away with the whole guest book idea and instead have wedding
guests sign an item that you will display in your home. Ideas
include clay mugs, flowerpots, lampshades, platters and picture
frame mats.
– One really creative idea is a wedding quilt. Provide each guest
with a quilt square to sign using a fabric marker or fabric paint.
Then, make a quilt using the squares or hire a seamstress to make
one for you. You can display your guest book quilt on your bed or
hang it on the wall. Try choosing quilt squares that match your
wedding colors.
Use your imagination and choose a guest book idea that suits the
mood of your wedding. Years from now, you'll treasure your special
registry and perhaps even hand it down from generation to generation
as a treasured family heirloom!
