Choosing the Date of Your Wedding

The date of your wedding is one of the first things that must be considered when planning your big day. The time of the year when you choose to have it can make a big difference to the feel and atmosphere of your wedding, which is why you will want to choose the date carefully.

Spring Wedding Dates

Spring is a great time to have a wedding. It is a pretty time of the year when the flowers are coming out and the sun is getting warmer. If you want photographs to be taken outside, then there will be newly-formed greenery around and springtime flowers will be out. The sun can reflect off of your jewelry that you bought specially from your savings or Party Poker winnings which will make everything look really glamorous and special. This will create gorgeous photographs and will not be as chilly as it is in the winter.

Summer Wedding Dates

However if you are planning on having your wedding outside, it is a good idea to consider holding it during the summer months. The weather is more likely to be sunny and warm, and you will be able to relax and enjoy your day. The adrenaline that kicks in on the day would probably protect you from the cold, but it is always nice to not have to worry about this anyway.

Autumn/Fall Wedding Dates

If you want really colourful photographs and are planning on having these taken in front of trees, then Autumn would be the clear choice for a wedding. The leaves will be red, orange and brown and would make the perfect backdrop for stunning images that you can remember for the rest of your life. For some people, this makes autumn the best season of the year and is the perfect time to tie the knot.

Winter Wedding Dates

If you want to be adventurous, then go for a spectacular winter wedding. If you are lucky, there could be snow on the ground to match your dress and add a bit of sparkle to the occasion. It is likely to be cold, but if you are holding the ceremony inside then this should not be a problem.

Whichever season you choose to be the time of your wedding, there are advantages to each one. Once the date has been decided on, you will be able to plan the rest of the day around this and ensure that it is as special as you want it to be.
