Cutting down costs for Wedding Flowers for Winter Wedding
Question:
I am going to have a Winter wedding and have received much higher
estimates from my florist that I would like to spend. Is there any
way I can cut down the costs for Wedding Flowers or are there any
alternatives for flowers?
Answer:
In winters, although most flowers are available, their costs are
higher because they are shipped from other countries.
Wedding flowers can broadly be classified into - Bouquets and Venue
Decorations. You can save money on the bouquets by using flowers
that are easily available such as carnations, gerberas, baby's
breath etc. along with evergreens. Make more use of cheaper flowers
and accentuate them with one or two exotic blooms.
For the decorations, the first thing you an do is to choose a venue
that does not require much decoration. For example, a historic inn
would not require much decoration. Similarly,
themed weddings mostly
require non-traditional decorations. Another option will be to use
silk or artificial flowers.
