Is it okay for guests to wear black to a wedding?

Question:

Is it okay for me to wear black to a wedding? I will be a guest.

Answer:

Yes, it is okay, but only if it is an evening wedding or a black and white wedding. Other than the options in the previous sentence, I do not suggest that you wear black. Most brides and families view the color black to represent death.

Not knowing the time of day that you are attending this wedding; my best suggestion is to avoid wearing black if it is not an evening wedding.
